👉Early Experience

VIP Scariest, Most Original, & Best Costume Winner:
Josie Hull as The Archivist
Her costume is based off of several things. The mask is inspired by Masaka's mask from the episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation “Masks". The outfit and makeup under the mask is partially inspired by the character, Upgrade, from the band Steam Powered Giraffe. What inspired me to make the mask is a line of Star Trek: Lower Decks, as stated in a line of an episode of Star Trek: Lower Decks, depending on how you interpret it, Starfleet has only ever encountered four D'arsay archives (D'arsay archives were introduced in the episode "Masks"). Also depending on how you interpret the line, three of them were encountered by the USS Cerritos alone. Also then counting the original encounter by the USS Enterprise-D, makes it so that there are four encounters. Which means that there are probably several other archives out there, within the Star Trek universe that have not been encountered by Starfleet. The mask is also partially inspired by Barn Owls.
We only had one contestant in a made costume, but look at her creativity as she made this costume herself!
Early Honorable Mention
While to participate in the contest, costumes must be made, we love it when adults go hard for Halloween and we wanted to let people see the joy it brings to some in our community, and how much fun it is to see adults give themselves permission to be kids again. We loved your warmth, passion, friendliness, smiles, and energy this crew!
If this is you, we'd sure appreciate you emailing us (see contact us) with your name so we can acknowledge you by name!
