MEET

THE READERS

Your ancestors let loose and had fun on Halloween by playing silly fortune-telling games with a tongue-in-cheek wink and nod to older traditions.  Figuring out who had a crush on you or if you had a chance with your crush has always been top-order business.

Here you'll find photos and bios for our Lenormand, palm, pendulum, Tarot, and tea readers as well as our dream interpreter for our fortune-telling games room, which you can totally avoid if it's not your cup of tea.

A time-honored tradition at Halloween parties from the mid- 19th Century (1800s) through mid- 20th Century (1900s) were fortune-telling games (see The Traditions).  In the late 1800s and early 1900s, Christian Spiritualism was in vogue, leading to new Halloween fads.  Most took them to be harmless fun and few took them very seriously.
